Retaining Walls in Franklin, NC

On a Western North Carolina hillside, a wall is what lets you use the slope. We build retaining walls to hold the earth — for the years after, not just the day they are finished.

Owner-operator · 40+ years · NC Contractors #75898 · Highland Peaks Retreat, built in Highlands

The problem

If a hillside, driveway, or building pad on your property needs the slope held, a wall is what makes the ground usable.

  • A bank that wants to move when the ground gets wet.
  • A pad or drive that needs a wall before you can use the ground.
  • A slope sitting above a road or a building.

How the job goes

  1. 1Look at the slopeWe see what the wall has to hold and how water moves on the hill.
  2. 2Prepare the baseThe footing is right before the first course goes down.
  3. 3Build the wallWe set it to hold the hill through the weather, not just the first season.
  4. 4Grade the waterWe shape the ground so water does not sit behind the wall.
